- FACULTY AND STAFF
From the strength of our nationally recognized faculty and research to the diversity of our programs and students, the department is large enough to cover major academic and research areas, yet small enough for individual attention.
The information below is a guide to the application process for graduate students. If you have any additional questions or need assistance please feel free to contact the department's academic adviser at email@example.com.
Other helpful information:
After we receive your completed application materials, your application is sent for review to the department's Graduate Review Committee. This committee then makes a recommendation to the Graduate College for student admission.
Committee members seek candidates who are likely to be successful in the program and later as practicing professionals. Admission standards are high, but we work with students who have extenuating circumstances.
During selection, the committee evalutes past academic performance, letters of recommendation, professional experience (when applicable) and scores from the Graduate Record Exam. Students will receive official notification of acceptance to the program from the Graduate College.
Prospective graduate students may want to take a tour of campus or read more about Tucson and the University of Arizona. The Graduate and Professional Student Council is also a wonderful resource, both before and after admission. Additional information for international students, including visas and the mandatory orientation program, is available at the Office of International Student Services.
Once you have been accepted, please review your degree requirements and the steps to your degree, as well as your required GradPath forms. Please continue to review the steps as you work through milestones to stay on track for graduation, and please feel free to contact the academic adviser at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about the forms or requirements.
